Birthdate:Mar 23
Omniverous bibliophile in her late 30s; married, two children. Former academic acquisitions editor; freelancing as a copyeditor and proofreader for now. Passionate about books: their history, their present, and their future. The house is crammed full of books, and there has to be a better way of storing them: maximum potential is not being achieved.

Read or Die accurately sums up how I feel about reading, both on a personal level and, in a larger, more macrocosmic way, about society.

I believe that books do not have to be finished once started (life is far too short), that it is a good thing to read more than one book at a time, and that one should always have at least three books on them in case of disaster. Libraries are meant to be pillaged and treasured.

This is a book blog. Sometimes my personal life intrudes, but only as it has relevance to the books that I am reading, have read, or want to read.

Castle image is from the Tres Riche Heurs of the Duc du Berry. It (and other pretty images) were made by junomagic and I found it and them at the Book_Icons community.
